More info
Satellite racking is an intensive storage system consisting of tunnels in which the UDC are stored at multi-depth over different load levels. The tunnel depth can exceed 40 meters for each load level, guaranteeing a high accumulation of pallet spaces.
The shuttle’s travelling speed exceeds 90 metres per minute (without load), which is halved in the case of handling with load. The benefits in terms of reduced time to deposit and withdrawal are obvious.
Thanks to the semi-automatic handling and close synergy with the warehouse management, the satellite shelving systems ensure high standards of precision and selectivity.
Shuttle racking systems are a scalable investment: as the number of operations increases, it will be sufficient to increase the number of satellites used. Productivity can be further implemented by using handling equipment such as LGV (Laser Guided Vehicles) or AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicles).
There are many advantages that can lead you to choose the shuttle shelving Dalmine LS.
- High channel selectivity: each tunnel of the shuttle racking corresponds to the storage of a given reference;
- Time optimisation: the satellite’s speed of travel allows for fast operations;
- Optimisation of space: as a storage system with tunnels that can go over 40 metres deep, the storage capacity of satellite shelving increases considerably and the number of lanes is reduced;
- Versatility: it is possible to configure the shuttle racking according to the dimensions of the stored LU and their loads;
- Shuttle racks can be installed in rooms with temperatures up to -30°C.
As with all Dalmine LS products, the shuttle racking is certified and designed to adapt to the different needs of each customer and to last over time. Our company also carries out a periodic maintenance service, when requested by the customer
