Dalmine LS has created a series of continuous multi-floor racks and an seismic-resistant pallet rack for Macron, Italian excellence in the world of active sportswear. The company, based in Valsamoggia, Bologna, produces high performance clothing to support athletes in their performances. With over 7 million units sold per year, the company has a constant growth trend in the Italian and global market.

Requirements

The new headquarters in VGP Park Valsamoggia represented a real turning point for the company. The new headquarters, over 6,000 square meters of offices, has 15,000 square meters of warehouse. It was therefore of paramount importance to create a logistics solution capable of supporting a high number of daily order lines, ensuring high productivity.

Our solutions

The warehouse covers an area of 15,000 square meters and is characterized by an intensive picking solution. The 134,000 boxes of laid-out items were stored in a continuous-deck Bi-Bloc seismic structure, controlled by a trolley. An earthquake-resistant pallet rack, always Bi-Bloc, instead, allowed the storage of 2,900 pallets for non-standard packages. The whole area is also being extended by a third.
