Cermag’s need was to structure its logistics department to support the continuous growth of its B2B e-commerce, anticipating facilities that could be expanded if necessary. The structures had to allow for the storage of both small components and palletized goods.
Our solutions
The Bi-Bloc pallet racking solution implemented by Dalmine LS consists of two different types of supply, developed incrementally. We created a seismic-resistant pallet racking system covering an area of 1,900 sqm, which accommodates 3,300 pallet spaces. A portion of the warehouse has been equipped with a structure served by Miniload systems provided by TGW Italia. The design and execution of the overall supply were completed step by step to support the client throughout their growth journey. The 33,000 boxes (600×400 mm and 400×600 mm) are stored in 1,600 sqm of floor space and served by stacker cranes operating across 17 loading levels. The Light Bi-Bloc shelving for the automatic storage of boxes was developed in three phases to align with the client’s growth path, providing a high-performance solution for future developments.
